Dev Update: July 11, 2021
Going to do a few more new biomes and probably get an alpha release in a week.

I have implemented these biomes so far: verdant sands remake, redwoods + variants, boreal forest + snowy, alpine heights, pine meadows, boreal plateau, willow wetlands, mangrove marsh, baobab fields, aspen grove, prairie, blossoming fields, autumnal coniferous forest, gravel shore, crimson thicket, oak woodlands (might remove this one later)
Project: Vibrant Journeys is a lightweight mod that adds a couple of small things in a vanilla+ style!
Features (1.16+)
- Groundcover: Find rocks, twigs, fallen leaves, bones, pinecones, and more as you journey across the Minecraft landscape!
- New Biomes: Explore the overgrown spires and verdant sands!
- Improved Lakes: Lakes are now a lot less boring with seagrass and cattails!
- Improved beaches: Beaches are decorated with sea oats and seashells!
- Ambient Mobs: Fireflies, snails, frogs, clams, starfish, and more!
- Mini-improvements: cobwebs under trees, tropical fish in jungles, more grass in rivers, and bushes in plains!
Planned Features
This mod lost a lot of content during the transition from 1.15 to 1.16. I plan on adding most of it back in, including:
- Biomes: Aspen grove, redwoods, blossoming fields, prairie, and others
- Trees: Baobab, aspen, juniper, fir, cottonwood, etc
- Plants: grasses, cacti, etc
- The mobs (ice cube, skeletal knights) will stay as a separate mod, available here.
I will also begin exploring into adding more unique biomes while still improving the vanilla ones.
